KRCEE
KRCEE is a community based organisation operating in seven Karen refugee camps along the Thai-Myanmar border, focusing on refugee camp education. They support eleven schools here and two in Myanmar itself at the post-high school level.
Higher education is, at best, extremely difficult to access in Eastern Myanmar as it is largely non-existent; furthermore, refugees do not have access to this level of education within Thailand, thus leaving KRCEE to fill the gap by supporting higher education in the refugee camps.
We are financing the regular operating costs of this programme for the schools, such as salaries, kitchen and food costs, health and hygiene, as well as school supplies.
